Know Your Lemons App Wins Webby Award for Best Health & Fitness App and has New Added Features

In the last 12 months, the award-winning Know Your Lemons breast health app, has evolved from an education tool into a personalized prevention platform helping more women assess risk, access screening, and take action earlier.

The Know Your Lemons app has always been built with one mission in mind: helping women around the world detect breast cancer earlier through accessible, engaging education.

That mission earned global recognition.

Winning the Webby Award

In a surprising moment for health tech, the Know Your Lemons App, created by a nonprofit focused on breast cancer early detection, beat Apple’s premier fitness app to win the 2025 Webby Award for Best Health App. This is one of the internet’s highest honors recognizing innovation, impact, and user experience in digital technology.

“This is like winning an Oscar,” said Dr. Corrine Ellsworth-Beaumont, the designer behind the app and the founder of the Know Your Lemons Foundation. “Completing your fitness ring is great, but saving lives from breast cancer is a significant feature to offer and that’s exactly what we do. It’s exciting to see our app get this recognition.”

Corrine flew to New York to give the coveted 5 WORD acceptance speech that would leave the audience stunned.

Over the past year, the app has expanded significantly, adding new features designed to make breast health education more personalized, actionable, and globally accessible.

What’s New in the Last 12 Months

While the app already offered self-exam reminders, symptom education, and personalized screening guidance, 2026 has marked a major leap forward in preventive care tools and user engagement.

The app offers something that hasn’t existed previously: a personalized screening plan built around your unique risk factors. It updates over time as your age changes and as new screening recommendations are released, making it an essential part of any woman’s health plan.

Advancing the Mission of Earlier Detection

Breast cancer outcomes improve dramatically when cancer is detected early, yet millions of women worldwide still face barriers to education, screening, and risk awareness.

The Know Your Lemons app uses creative visuals to bridge those gaps through engaging education, behavior-based reminders, and culturally adaptable tools that help people recognize symptoms and seek care sooner.

As the app evolves, the mission remains the same: making lifesaving breast health information easier to understand, easier to access, and easier to act on.

Founder Quote

“Winning a Webby Award is incredibly meaningful because it reflects the impact this app is having in real people’s lives,” said Corrine Ellsworth-Beaumont. “Over the last year, we’ve focused on building tools that don’t just educate, but help women take the next step. Whether that’s understanding their risk, booking a mammogram, or having a conversation with their doctor. Earlier detection saves lives, and technology can play a powerful role in making that possible. We hope more people learn about the app and take advantage.”
