Know Your Lemons is a member of the UN DGC
Shelley Henson, board member and Dr. Corrine Ellsworth-Beaumont, founder and CEO at the United Nations Conference display the 12 symptoms of breast cancer and the Global Development Goal #3.
WE'VE JUST RAISED OUR GAME.
We are now officially associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications and are now a Civil Society organization!
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
This association constitutes a commitment on the part of our organization to disseminate information and raise public awareness about the purposes and activities of the United Nations and issues of global concern. Specifically, we have pledged to help the UN DGC decrease deaths by 1/3 for noncommunicable diseases, such as cancer.
We will use a portion of our publications and information activities on the work of the United Nations in regards to early detection for breast cancer and women’s health. We will also cooperate with the United Nations Information Centres or Services around the world, as well as with representatives of other parts of the United Nations to further improve early detection.
We are currently training educators around the globe to teach women about the 12 signs of breast cancer.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
1. Join the waitlist today and become a global educator
2. Donate education materials and help women (and men) recognize a symptom of breast cancer and become more proactive in screening where available.
Special thanks to the McCormick Foundation for sponsoring our Global Education Program and our application to the UN.
