Farewell, Brian Michalek
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the resignation of one of our beloved board members, Brian Michalek. Although the reasoning behind his resignation is wonderful, we will miss having him and are so grateful for his time served.
Brian joined our board several years back and brought with him a wealth of knowledge in litigation and licensing. He was always available to lend an ear or advice on legal matters and never faltered in his commitments to the foundation. Brian will be sorely missed, but we wish him all the best!
A little bit about Brians professional background Brian:

As a licensing attorney, I have developed and structured patent licensing programs and negotiating licensing deals in various technology spaces including the 802.11n wireless Internet standard, organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). My practice also includes conducting and analyzing patent essentiality determinations and negotiating licensing agreements in accordance with fair, reasonable and nondiscriminatory (FRAND) practice.”
