First World Breast Alliance Partnership in South Africa: Punch for Pink

What is Punch for Pink?

Founded in 2023, Punch for Pink (PFP) serves as an inclusive platform within the breast health space in South Africa. We are on a mission to rebrand breast cancer, untie the pink ribbon and reframe the narrative. PFP works tirelessly to remove stigma and fear and replace it with collaboration and optimism. Most importantly, we act as an organizational facilitator for greater collaboration and communication between local breast cancer organizations, government, the medical fraternity, social impact investors and the South African public. We create purposeful campaigns that lead to meaningful public conversations, collectively working towards the transformation of our society and the reduction of breast cancer mortality rates in South Africa.

The core vision for Punch For Pink is to be three things:

  1. A vehicle for education on all things breast health.

  2. A platform for collaboration between local breast cancer organizations, government, the medical fraternity, the public and social impact investors.

  3. A movement for active participation which aims to raise funds and engagement with the cause.
