Why Know Your Lemons is the key for early detection of breast cancer:

“Know Your Lemons gave me the confidence to speak to my doctor and get diagnosed in time.”

After Dawn had a delayed diagnosis she used Know Your Lemons to change the story for others.

“If it wasn’t for the app, I wouldn’t have found my lump. It saved my life.”

Through our Know Your Lemons app, education materials, and Breast School classes taught by trained volunteers, we are changing the picture of breast cancer around the world.

As the only global charity solely focused on early detection, we are making a huge impact. It’s our mission to provide breast health information in a way that’s accessible by addressing equity gaps, literacy issues, taboo, and fear – no matter someone’s age, race, ethnicity or gender.

Our educational approach means we can connect with students in any setting. Watch how Know Your Lemons volunteer educator Jum’atil teach a group of students in Indonesia about breast health and how to be empowered when it comes to their health.

Our Founder’s Story

When Corrine Beaumont lost her grandmothers to breast cancer, she wanted to know what she should be doing for her breast health, but wasn’t able to find information that simply answered the basic questions. As a designer, she decided to do something about the lack of engaging information available. So she moved to London, got a PhD in patient communication and tested and refined the best ways to educate breast health information for a diverse audience. Later on when her close friend died from the disease, she left her job as a business professor, and started the charity with her own savings. Read more about her story —>
