Our school program is tailor-made for secondary school students to learn about breast health and early detection of breast cancer in an engaging and memorable way.

What’s in the program?

Designed with teachers and tested by students, KYL@School includes videos, games, educational materials, and an interactive pre- and post-quiz that make it fun to learn while simultaneously measuring knowledge gain.

Topics Covered in the Program:

  • The 12 signs of breast cancer

  • How and when to self-exam

  • Screening and testing options, including mammograms

  • Family health history and risk factors associated with breast cancer

Why educate students?

Teaching students about breast health and how to detect breast cancer early can help set them up for a lifetime of awareness and healthy behaviors.

Students are also uniquely positioned to help educate members of their families and communities with this life-saving information.

At the end of the class, students are tasked with taking home what they’ve learned to their families and communities using handouts that make conversations easy!
