Harvest 4 Pink: A New Partner of Know Your Lemons
We are delighted to announce Harvest 4 Pink as the newest World Breast Alliance partner of Know Your Lemons. This dynamic organization shares our commitment to promoting breast health education around the world. Through this partnership, we look forward to empowering individuals in rural communities with the knowledge and resources needed for early detection and breast health awareness.
About Harvest 4 Pink
Harvest 4 Pink, based in rural Wyoming (USA), is a dedicated organization with a heartfelt mission to gather, grow, and create support for Breast Cancer Warriors. Established in 2022, they have quickly made a meaningful impact in the community. Their signature initiative, Ta-Ta Totes, delivers handmade items designed to bring comfort, strength, and encouragement to individuals navigating their cancer journey. These thoughtful care packages serve as a tangible reminder that no one fights alone.
Harvest 4 Pink also spearheads the annual "Save the Pumpkins" campaign each fall. This creative and impactful initiative raises awareness about the importance of early breast cancer detection while providing educational resources to the community.
Partnering with Know Your Lemons
Harvest 4 Pink is excited to collaborate with Know Your Lemons to expand breast health education and awareness. Access to healthcare can be limited in Wyoming and so increasing early detection screening rates is essential. By leveraging the Know Your Lemons app and educational materials, Harvest 4 Pink is making self-exams more approachable and easy to understand.
Meet the Founder: Nicole
The Founder, Nicole, who is a breast cancer survivor and retired teacher, has a guiding philosophy that is beautifully captured by her favorite quote:
“The best way to help yourself is to put your arm around someone who needs it more.”
This sentiment underscores the organization's dedication to supporting others in their time of need.
Nicole understands the profound impact the disease can have on both individuals and their families. Diagnosed in April 2022 with Stage 3 Inflammatory Triple Negative breast cancer—often described as “the red Ferrari traveling in the fast lane” of breast cancers—she faced an arduous treatment journey. Her fight included five months of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, 25 radiation sessions, and a year of immunotherapy.
Despite these challenges, Nicole emerged as a passionate advocate for cancer support. She founded Get B.A.C. (Believers Against Cancer), a community dedicated to providing support and encouragement to cancer survivors and anyone impacted by cancer.
